After two years of development, Equipment Street is proud to announce the initial release of its innovative digital marketplace. Equipment Street was created to facilitate the equipment procurement process by providing a single destination for buyers and sellers of commercial equipment to transact business. The site currently supports a broad range of equipment categories including theft prevention, office technology, software, telecom, food service, light industrial among others with more being added on a regular basis. Equipment Street has applied for a patent on this ground breaking concept and leading edge technology approach*.
Sellers of equipment can customize a “storefront” to promote their unique product and service offerings. Sellers that appear on the site benefit from no cost advertising which results in lead generation and an expanded market reach. Currently there are over 20,000 seller listings on the site.
For buyers, the site manages the entire procurement process from supplier research to final purchase. Buyers can detail their specific equipment needs, select individual sellers to provide pricing proposals or list their project publicly to receive competitive bids. As price quotes are received, the site automatically presents the option of low monthly payment plans along with the cash price quote, letting the buyer select the payment method that best supports their cash flow needs or budgetary objectives.
Jim Noel, vice president in charge of Equipment Street Customer Care says, “We developed Equipment Street because we saw a need to transform the way businesses buy and sell equipment. Equipment Street was built to create an online marketplace that is strictly focused on simplifying the process of acquiring equipment. Most sites are either referral directories, offer very limited functionality or have a vested interest in what sellers they recommend. Our guiding vision was to deliver a singular self-contained resource that supports the entire purchasing process, connect buyers that have real time needs with sellers that offer the best solutions and provide the payment alternatives to meet their requirements.”
While we are pleased with the initial deployment of the site, continuous releases are planned. Users of the site can expect to see ongoing enhancements that will result in real time communication, online product catalogs and expanded equipment categories.
