Equipment Street has attended and exhibited at their first of many tradeshows; The 2013 New York Business Expo & Conference at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City. The October event was attended by over 10,000 individuals consisting primarily of business owners and executives.
At the Equipment Street booth, demonstrations of the site were available and informational brochures were distributed that were directed at educating equipment buyers and sellers. The material focused on the value of Equipment Street and what the site offers the business community. Feedback to the Equipment Street team from the executives who visited the booth was primarily focused on the potential savings that could be realized through the bidding functionality integrated into the site. The convenience aspect of the application was also highlighted; the fact that business owners can run their companies while spending less time finding equipment was viewed as a major benefit. The New York Expo may be the first major tradeshow Equipment Street has attended, but the 2014 tradeshow schedule is in the process of being developed and will be released soon. Equipment Street is excited about the positive response and activity levels at this very early stage.
“The overwhelming response that I received at the show from attendees that visited the Equipment Street booth was highly positive and very encouraging. Business owners talked about how Equipment Street would make the process of acquiring equipment significantly easier and faster. We also had sellers of equipment stop by asking how they can get registered to be able to provide proposals on buyers looking to acquire the equipment they sell,” stated Jim Noel, vice president of the Equipment Street Customer Care Group. “We left the show knowing that Equipment Street was on the right track to providing businesses with an better approach to acquiring the equipment they need to succeed.”
